exp has been appointed to assist SCOTS and CSS Wales to deliver roads/highway asset management advice and training.  The appointment follows exp's successful delivery of the preceding separate national projects in Scotland and Wales.  exp's Managing Director Paul Hardy said " we are delighted to continue our work with SCOTS and CSSW.  Our appointment ahead of competing major international consultancies reflects the pragmatic and cost effective approach that we have developed jointly with SCOTS and CSSW over the last 4 years.  This project give us the opportunity to build on this work and assist the 54 local authorities to focus their asset management planning effort on tasks that will enable better value for money road management to be delivered."

The project will be based upon the SCOTS/CSSW asset management framework a cost effective model which enables authorities to complete a range of clearly defined tasks.  This clarity of what is require differentiates SCOTS and CSSW from other approaches to asset management and will be delivered in a highly cost effective manner by facilitating collaboration across Scotland and Wales.
